Shockwave Therapy in Bristol
Advanced, non-invasive, treatment of soft tissue tendinopathy, and a highly effective alternative to steroid injections and surgery for many stubborn tendon complaints.
Shockwave therapy delivers short intense sound-waves to the specific tissues in question. In doing so it enhances blood circulation and accelerates the healing process causing damaged tissue to gradually regenerate. Effectively, the treatment puts the damaged cells into 'repair mode'.
Shockwave therapy is recognised by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and has a success rate of 90%. Shockwave Therapy is delivered over five consecutive appointments, usually weekly apart and specific exercise and loading recommendations will be given by your practitioner to optimise your recovery.
