Monique Ben-Carew
MSc Physiotherapy
Physiotherapist
Since graduating Monique has worked within the NHS in a inpatient and outpatient setting which has allowed her to gain skills and knowledge in acute medicine, respiratory, MSK and pelvic health. Her interest lies in pelvic health; she has had the opportunity to support both post-natal and ante-natal women with MSK and pregnancy related conditions, whilst taking a holistic approach to their care by supporting them physically and emotionally.
With Monique's previous degree in Sports Therapy, she has had the opportunity to work with football teams in the Gloucestershire area where she provided immediate first aid, taping, massage, assisted with medical screening to aid with injury prevention and also helped with delivering rehab programmes. Additionally, she has assisted at Cheltenham Half marathon delivering pre and post event massage.
Clinical Interest
Pelvic health, sports injury prevention and rehabilitation
Experience
Working as a rotational physiotherapist in the NHS, gaining experience in acute medicine, respiratory, MSK and pelvic health. Also experience working in a variety of sporting settings as a pitchside first aider and assiting with rehabilitation.
